Introspection

This, my first album reflects my very eclectic tastes, a quality I still try to keep as I venture forth in my exploration of the acoustic universe. There should be at least a few tracks in here that will grab your attention, though as I have found, different people have very different preferred tracks.

01-Gangsta Slam A nice and chilled introduction to my first album. With a hip-hop feel throughout and with a funky organ and then a warm, Marleyesque guitar sample mixed in, this track is perfect to relax on a sunny day with a jay :)
02-Dusk till Dawn This track retains the hip-hop feel from the previous tune but heads towards a creepy end. "I don't know what it is basically"
03-Aural Sex This track is possibly the most cheesy choon I ever hope to produce. Being the first track I ever made I was very much learning to sequence at the time. The software I was using was very limited and wasn't really suitable for more the more alternative beats like I prefer to create.
04-On the Edge Using the more hardcore samples available on eJay, I came up with this track which is certainly a good place for the album to change direction...
05-Fuk'd in OZ "Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore...". This sample from The Wizard of Oz marks a change in direction of my first album where I leave behind the restrictive but safe EJay software for the boundless CoolEdit Pro.
06-Crazy Quite a self descriptive title, this track is...well...CRAZY! It contains a twisted sample of a friend of mine singing "Crazy, I'm crazy for feeling so lonely" with a tornado style wind effect that I came up with one night. The entire track took less than 5 minutes to complete in a flurry of emotion.
07-Muse Similar to Crazy, this track took very little time to produce. It comprises of a very complex melody with a harpsichord sounding instrument.

08-Rebirth

Originally intended to only play in one direction, I found that this track worked as a very good first prototype of my palindrome idea. Possibly the first track ever to sound exactly the same backwards as it does forwards!!! This track contains a short sample nicked from "Revolution 9" from the Beatles "White Album".
09-Revelations A well known but not obvious film sample is used throughout this very dark track. The sample could be taken as a prophecy of a potential apocalypse and so I borrowed the name from one of the books in the Bible which is on similar lines.
10-The End? The final track that I composed before I decided my first album complete. This is a very melodic track to finish the album using the same harpsichord sound from Muse. It's my chance to say goodbye :)
